JH Huscroft Ltd. Has been a family owned and operated business since 1927 and produces some of the highest quality boards and specialty wood products in North America.

The challenge

J.H. Huscroft Sawmill did not want to stray too far from the orginal founder JHH monogram logo. They wanted to modernize look and feel while keeping the concept of the orginal brand identity.

the solution

It was important to keep the integrity of the original concept. We explored multiple monogram concepts, updating the brand identity to capture the true spirit of the company's beginnings and its growth into a mid sized mill. The logo needed to represent J.H. Huscroft's reputation for high quality products, consistency and dependability. It was important that the final design be strong, easily recognized in an outdoor environment and easily reproduced in multiple environments like lumber wraps, wood stamps, advertising as well as in a print and digital environment.
